Meet the Founder.
Northeast grit meets Sierra spirit.
Born and raised in New England, shaped by the Blue Ridge Mountains, and now rooted in Truckee, CA — Julie Bacon has always felt most at home in mountain towns. She once rode her bike from Mexico to Canada, drinks iced coffee year-round (even in a snowstorm), and believes a good day includes dirt, music, and maybe a plunge into a freezing lake.
As a new mom, Julie’s still chasing joy on the trail, rallying creative ideas, and hyping up her people — just with a baby in tow now. She brings sharp instincts, big heart, and a whole lot of humor to everything she does. For Julie, motherhood isn’t the end of adventure — it’s the next wild chapter.

Why The Mothership.
I started The Mothership Collective because when I got pregnant, I asked: Where are the women like me? The ones still biking, still skiing, still dancing ‘til close with sweat-slicked cheeks and sparkly eyeliner.
I wasn’t ready to disappear. I wanted to expand.
This space was born from that fire—equal parts curiosity, rebellion, and wild love. It’s here to remind us that we don’t have to lose ourselves in motherhood. We can grow louder, freer, more whole.
This is for the ones craving movement, magic, identity, and connection. You belong here.
— Julie Bacon, Founder
What We Stand For
Weird is Welcome | You don’t have to fit in — you just have to show up.
Identity is Sacred | You don’t disappear when you become a mom — you expand.
Motherhood is Movement | You can be soft and strong. Still and spinning. Rooted and wild.
Collective Power is Real | We believe motherhood is a communal act — one that’s stronger with support.
